Carving
masterclass in Saas-Fee
Turn skidded turns into clean, carved arcs. Our Carving Masterclass is a focused ski workshop on the long groomed runs of Saas-Fee, where you learn to trust your edges and feel the ski do the work.
The skill that changes every run you ski: clean edges, more grip and more speed control.
Carving Masterclass
Learn to carve like a pro
Carving is what makes skiing feel effortless. Instead of sliding the tails of your skis round each turn, you roll the ski onto its edge and let its shape pull you through the arc. The result is more grip, more stability at speed and much less effort in your legs.
In this carving ski lesson in Saas-Fee, your instructor starts by looking at your stance, balance and edging, then builds a progression of drills that take you from the first clean track in the snow to linking dynamic carved turns. The wide, well-prepared runs of Saas-Fee are the perfect classroom.
You leave with a clear understanding of what makes a carved turn, a set of drills you can keep practising on your own and, if you book three sessions or more, a video edit that shows your progress.

Who is the Carving Masterclass
for?
This masterclass is for intermediate and advanced skiers who can ski red runs comfortably and want to move from skidding to carving. It is also a great session for experienced skiers who want to fine-tune their technique on modern skis, and for teenagers who want to ski faster and cleaner. If you already carve, we raise the level with shorter radius turns, more angulation and higher speeds.
What will you work on
in the Carving Masterclass?
Stance and balance: finding a centred, athletic position so you can stay balanced over the whole length of the ski.
Edging and angulation: learning to tip the skis onto their edges with your ankles, knees and hips, and to hold the edge through the whole turn.
Rhythm and turn shape: linking carved turns smoothly, controlling speed with turn shape instead of skidding, and adapting the radius to the slope.
