Skiing is for everyone. As part of the Para-Alpine Skiing Saas-Fee project, we offer adaptive ski lessons for children and adults with physical, sensory or cognitive disabilities, led by specially trained instructors.

Our adaptive ski lessons in Saas-Fee are built around the person, not the disability. Before the first session we talk with you about your needs, your experience and your goals, so your instructor can plan the right approach, the right terrain and the right pace.

We are part of Para-Alpine Skiing Saas-Fee, the project that makes skiing in Saas-Fee accessible to people with disabilities, and our lessons are led by instructors trained in adaptive teaching. Whether it is a first experience on snow or a chance to build independence and skill, our aim is the same: a safe, supportive and joyful day in the mountains.

Who are adaptive ski lessons
for?

Adaptive lessons are for children and adults with physical, sensory or cognitive disabilities, from complete beginners to experienced skiers. Family members and friends are welcome to be part of the day. If you are not sure whether our lessons are right for you, contact us and we will talk it through with you.

How do adaptive lessons
work?

Before the lesson: we discuss needs, mobility, communication and any equipment requirements with you, so everything is ready on the day.

On the snow: your instructor adapts the teaching method, the pace and the terrain, and builds each step on the last so every session ends with a sense of achievement.

After the lesson: we share feedback and suggest the next steps, whether that is another session with us or continuing with the Para-Alpine Skiing Saas-Fee community.

I had two amazing sessions with Patrick—he first diagnosed what needed to be improved, then prioritized it so we could focus on the most important parts first. After two sessions, it already helped me, and I now know exactly what I need to fix technically and how to actually do it.

Patrick is very punctual, easygoing, and has a great sense of humor. He’s also very patient and repeats things again and again until you get it. Highly recommended.

As for the school itself, the whole process was fast and smooth. I knew exactly where to meet and when. I know it may sound silly, but I’ve had some not-so-great experiences with other schools in the past.

We enjoyed our time with Analia so much we booked a second day with her and went up to ski the glacier!

Communication around the scheduling and rescheduling was very easy and convenient, the team is approachable and responsive. That was just the start, we then got to meet the teacher, Patrick. Simply fantastic, Patrick is able to communicate with children, putting him at their level, gain their trust and truly encourage them to move forward. Tell us about your needs when you contact us, and we will look at the right equipment together with the Para-Alpine Skiing Saas-Fee team.

We welcome children and adults. Contact us with the age and needs of the skier and we will advise on the best format.

Yes. Family members, carers and friends are welcome, and many families ski together as part of the session.

Please contact us first so we can talk about your needs, then we confirm the details and book the session for you.

Mountain weather changes fast, so dress in layers you can add or remove. You need a waterproof jacket and trousers, gloves, a helmet or hat, and goggles or sunglasses. On snowy or foggy days a low-light lens (yellow or pink) helps a lot. Helmets are compulsory for children under 16 in our lessons and strongly recommended for adults.

Our international team teaches in English, German, French, Spanish, Dutch and more, subject to availability. Tell us your preferred language when you book.

We agree the meeting point with you when you book. Our main meeting point is at the lift ticket office next to the Kalbermatten beginner lifts, where you will see our Bespoke Snowsports sign. We can also meet you at the Alpin Express gondola, the Plattjen or Spielboden gondola, or on the mountain at the Morenia restaurant. Our instructors wear an all-black uniform with the white Bespoke Snowsports logo on the back.

Guests who pay the tourist tax at their hotel or apartment in Saas-Fee receive a SaastalCard. It gives you discounted lift passes, free local buses and offers on other activities in the valley.
