What are
Tech Tasters?

Tech Tasters are specialist sessions built around one skill. Instead of a general lesson, you choose the discipline you want to explore and your instructor designs the whole session around it: the drills, the terrain and the feedback. They run as private sessions or in small groups, and they are the perfect add-on to a week of skiing in Saas-Fee.

Our five workshops are the Carving Masterclass, Intro to Ski Racing, Mogul Madness, Freestyle Foundations and Intro to Off-Piste. Each one is taught by an instructor who specialises in that discipline and knows exactly where to find the right terrain in Saas-Fee.

Tech Tasters are priced like our private lessons and can be booked for the same durations. Many guests book two or three different workshops during one holiday to try a bit of everything.

Who are Tech Tasters
for?

Tech Tasters are designed for confident intermediate to expert skiers who can already link turns on red runs and want a new challenge. They are just as good for teenagers who want to test themselves as for adults who have skied for years and feel they have hit a plateau. If you are not sure which workshop fits your level, tell us about your skiing when you book and we will recommend the right one.

Which Tech Taster
should you choose?

Carving Masterclass: clean, high-edge turns on the groomed runs. Intro to Ski Racing: a first taste of gates, lines and race technique.

Mogul Madness: rhythm, absorption and line choice in the bumps. Freestyle Foundations: first jumps, boxes and ground tricks in a safe progression.

Intro to Off-Piste: your first steps into ungroomed snow, with the technique and mountain awareness to enjoy it.

How it works

Timing

Tech Tasters follow the same durations as our private lessons: a 2.5-hour session in the morning or afternoon, with the option to extend.

Morning sessions start by 10:30, afternoon sessions between 13:00 and 13:30.

For the best snow in the moguls and on the groomed runs, we usually recommend the morning.

Tech Tasters Saas-Fee ski school

Group size

Private for one person, or a small group of up to five with a similar level. Prices depend on the number of participants and are shown in our booking system.

Small groups are a great way for friends or families to try a new discipline together.

Tech Tasters are available for skiers. Snowboarders can ask us about carving and freestyle sessions for riders.

Teenagers are very welcome. Under 16s must wear a helmet.

Meeting point

We confirm the meeting point when you book, depending on the workshop and the conditions.

Carving, racing and mogul sessions usually start from the Alpin Express gondola. Freestyle and off-piste sessions start wherever the terrain is best that day.

You need a valid lift pass for the session.

Look for our Bespoke Snowsports sign and our instructors in all-black uniforms.

I had two amazing sessions with Patrick—he first diagnosed what needed to be improved, then prioritized it so we could focus on the most important parts first. After two sessions, it already helped me, and I now know exactly what I need to fix technically and how to actually do it.

Patrick is very punctual, easygoing, and has a great sense of humor. He’s also very patient and repeats things again and again until you get it. Highly recommended.

As for the school itself, the whole process was fast and smooth. I knew exactly where to meet and when. I know it may sound silly, but I’ve had some not-so-great experiences with other schools in the past.

Communication around the scheduling and rescheduling was very easy and convenient, the team is approachable and responsive. That was just the start, we then got to meet the teacher, Patrick. Most frequent questions & answers
FAQ

You should be comfortable skiing red runs in control. You do not need any experience in the discipline itself: that is what the workshop is for.

Yes. You can book a different workshop on each day of your holiday, or extend a session to mix two related skills, such as carving and racing.

The Carving Masterclass has the biggest impact on everyday skiing, because better edging and balance help you on every run. If you already carve well, Mogul Madness is the best next step.

Mountain weather changes fast, so dress in layers you can add or remove. You need a waterproof jacket and trousers, gloves, a helmet or hat, and goggles or sunglasses. On snowy or foggy days a low-light lens (yellow or pink) helps a lot. Helmets are compulsory for children under 16 in our lessons and strongly recommended for adults.

There are several rental shops in the village. We recommend Cesar Sports, who give all Bespoke Snowsports guests 10% off ski and snowboard rental. If you are not sure what to rent for your session, ask us when you book and we will point you in the right direction.

Our international team teaches in English, German, French, Spanish, Dutch and more, subject to availability. Tell us your preferred language when you book.

We agree the meeting point with you when you book. Our main meeting point is at the lift ticket office next to the Kalbermatten beginner lifts, where you will see our Bespoke Snowsports sign. We can also meet you at the Alpin Express gondola, the Plattjen or Spielboden gondola, or on the mountain at the Morenia restaurant. Our instructors wear an all-black uniform with the white Bespoke Snowsports logo on the back.
